Stray Cat

There is a black and white stray kitty living in my yard. think she has kittens but I’m not sure. I saw her the other day walking past my window with something furry in her mouth at first I thought it might be a mouse but then I noticed she had that belly they get after they have kittens. So I watched her and she went from where this old kids playhouse is to under my shed. And that seems to be where she is staying. I feel bad because it’s so cold out now and I can’t get to them under there but I went out and got some cat food and have been feeding her I have to put the cat bowl almost all the way under the shed for her to eat it because she won’t leave there. I’ve also been giving her warm water because it is so cold out there I am hoping to make it last a bit longer before it freezes. Dunno if it helps or not though. I even tried to give her an old towel to make a bed with but I can’t really get it under the shed and don’t know if cats are capable of dragging things like that around. Well anyway I hope I am helping her and her possible babies with what little I can do.

And what is it about my yard that animals seem to like? I have bunnies living in it all Spring and Summer and I also had a robin who built her nest on top of the back porch light this past summer. That was fun because I went out everyday and peeked in at them so I could watch them grow. So cute.

Stuff

I recently canceled my cell phone service because it was pointless to have it. I had no job and was spending what little money I did have on a service plan that I never even used anymore. I mean that was about $45 a month I could have had for other things. When you are living on very little that is a lot of money. Trust me.

But let’s face it. I need a cell phone. I don’t have a land line (and don’t want one) and I need something to be able to get in touch with people and have people be able to get in touch with me. So it is time for a Pay-as-you-go cell phone.

I found that the best place to get a  pay as you go phone is T-Mobile. Any minutes I put on the phone last for 3 months  (other plans are only 1 month) and when I hit $100 in minutes on the phone they last a year and minutes are extended. I see no reason to go with anyone else for a plan like this. I found a phone on their site that was only $30 (though I wish it had a camera, oh well) and it came with $30 in minutes. So…Yay!

And I can afford this only because I have a semi-steady job now. The place I have been helping out at asked if I wanted to work 3 days a week so of course I said I would like to. The job is perfect I can make some money and not have to worry about transportation. And it is fun getting to work with my boyfriend. The only problem is I have no clue what there is for me to do there when they do not have any events planned. Seems like not much so I am wondering if they will even need me 3 days a week at those times. If not then I will be happy to work even one or two days a week doing whatever I can. It’s better than not working at all like I have the past year.

Oh and how can I forget…I got my collectors edition Wrath of the Lich King (thanks to Ken) so I have been having fun with that. But unlike the crazy people who need to be “first” at hitting 80 or whatever I am just taking my time and enjoying the game.

Guess that is all I had to say.

Freebies

Who doesn’t love freebies? And since I am pretty much totally broke it makes it all the more sweeter. That is one of the cool things about my kinda-job….Kinda-job means I am working (part-time) but am not officially an employee of where I work. Got that? Good…Now back to freebies…

So I’ve been getting all kinds of goodies left over from some event they put on. Like pepsi, diet pepsi and diet dr. pepper 12 packs. I even got a case of Special-K peanut butter meal bars. Yummy. What else…hmmm…A case of snickerdoodle cookies (I could do without them though heh), cases of All Sport drinks, a bunch of bags of Jolly Rancher and cases of water. I think that’s about it. Oh I forgot about the case of bananas. Yes. Case of bananas.

I wish bananas could last longer cause there is no way I can eat them all. So now I have to make some stuff with all of them like banana bread (or muffins) and some smoothies.

The diet soda has saved me. How? Because I kept drinking my boyfriends non diet soda (only about 1 a day, but still) so now I feel better if I drink a diet one instead. I am also thrilled with the cases of water cause I tend to drink a lot of water and also love the case of Special-K meal bars I happen to like them and they will help me with my plan to lose some weight…which I have not officially started yet.

So yeah I just wanted to talk about freebies. Oh and I helped out more at that job this week. I worked 3 full days I hope they need me next week too!
